    Bubble Text Generator

Turn letters into bubble text with two circled alphabets: an open circle and a negative circle. Digits are circled only where Unicode has a bubble form, and everything else stays as you typed it.

The note under each row comes from the character map, so it lists the real gaps. These are Unicode characters, not a font that draws a circle around your typing.

Styled letters are Unicode symbols, not real bold. Screen readers may read them letter by letter or skip them, and they can be harder to find in search. Use them for a few words, not whole posts, and never for key details such as links or contact information.

      Ⓨⓞⓤⓡ ⓣⓔⓧⓣ ⓗⓔⓡⓔ ①②③

      18 characters · 33 on X

Digits 0 to 9 have a bubble form. Other characters, including punctuation, stay as typed. Fonts draw circled letters at different sizes, and some may show empty boxes.

    • Negative circledSample

Small letters have no bubble form and stay as typed. Digits 0 to 9 have a bubble form. Other characters, including punctuation, stay as typed. Some fonts may show empty boxes.

    How it works

    1. Type a short word, a name or a few digits.
    2. Compare Circled with Negative circled. Read the note if a letter stayed plain.
    3. Copy the row you want and check it in the font you will actually post with.

Two circle styles, not one font

Circled letters come from Enclosed Alphanumerics: capitals at U+24B6, small letters at U+24D0, digits 1 to 9 at U+2460 and zero at U+24EA. Negative circled capitals are U+1F150 to U+1F169.

The circled row covers every capital and every small letter. Digits 0 to 9 have a bubble form. Other characters, including punctuation, stay as typed. Fonts draw circled letters at different sizes, and some may show empty boxes. The negative circled row is filled from the same map the converter uses. What has no bubble form

Unicode 18.0 has no negative circled small letter, so a lowercase word stays lowercase in that row. Punctuation, spaces and emoji also stay put in both rows, because there is no circled form to swap in.

Digits 0 to 9 do have a negative circled character. Zero is U+24FF. One to nine are the dingbat negative circled digits at U+2776 to U+277E. A second sans-serif set exists and is not used, so each digit maps once.

Where a circled word is readable

A one-word label, a short bio line or a heading is the usual place. A whole sentence of circles is slow to read, and negative circled capitals are easy to confuse with each other at a small size.

Gothic fraktur is the angular alternative when circles feel too round. The style mixer can put a border around one alphabet, including circled, if you want a frame as well as the letters. Browse every other Unicode style on the hub when circles are not the look.

    Screen readers and missing glyphs

Screen readers may read these characters badly, one by one, or skip them. Do not use bubble text for important information, or as the only copy of a name, a link or an address.

Some phones show an empty box for the negative circled capitals, which live in a later Unicode block than the open circles. If a word matters, repeat it in plain letters beside the circled line.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is bubble text?

It is letters and digits that Unicode already drew inside a circle. This page copies those characters. It does not draw a circle around the font you are using.

Why did some letters stay normal?

They have no bubble form in Unicode. Negative circled has no small letters, and neither row has circled punctuation, so those characters pass through unchanged.

    Do numbers get a bubble?

Single digits 0 to 9 do, in both rows. A number such as 10 stays as two characters, each circled on its own, because Unicode has no single bubble for that whole number.

Can I use bubble text as my only address?

No. Screen readers may not read the circled characters as the address, and someone copying them may not get the plain digits back. Keep the plain address next to any circled version.

Why do I see empty boxes?

The font on that device has no glyph for the circled character. Negative circled capitals are the likelier gap. Try the open circled row, or check another phone.
